Mole Antonelliana
Mole Antonelliana

Mole Antonelliana: An architectural landmark of the city of Turin, Planned and begun by architect Alessandro Antonelli in 1863, it was only completed in 1889. With a height of 167.5 metres, it was the tallest brick building in Europe at the time.

Consider taking the elevator to the top for panoramic views of the city. Visitors can also climb on foot along the cavity of the dome stairs, up to the panoramic terrace.

Egyptian Museum: The Museo Egizio or Egyptian Museum is an archaeological museum in Turin specializing in Egyptian archaeology and anthropology.

It is the oldest Egyptian museum in the world, dating back to the 19th Century. It also holds a collection of around 40,000 antiquities, displayed on its 4 floors. The Turin Egyptian Museum is open every day and it’s located in the heart of the city near the Royal Palace.

Piazza Castello: This Piazza is one of the grandest squares in the city and a fantastic reference point from which to locate and find its main sights.

At the centre of the Piazza which is mostly pedestrianised is the Palazzo Madama which has a castle on one side and a palace on the other. You can access great views from the roof of the Palazzo Madama and gaze across to the Royal Palace of Turin located in the corner. 

It is also home to many tram stops and remains a key element in the city's transport system.

National Cinema Museum: The Italian motion picture museum which is housed in the Mole Antonelliana tower in Turin. The collections in the museum include early and current film technologies, stage items from old Italian movies and various memorabilia.

For example, it has more than 300,000 film posters, around 12,000 movie reels and around 26,000 film-related books. It's a real treat for any film buff.

Galleria Sabauda: Galleria Sabauda is a part of the Royal Palace Museum and it is located in the centre of Torino city, in the Piedmont Region.

The Sabauda Gallery has a collection which is not to be missed if you love art and there are lots of sculptures and busts on display also.

On the four floors of exhibition space, the visitor can admire works from the 14th to the 20th centuries by Piedmontese, Italian and European artists, and Dutch and Flemish artists in particular.

There are lots to see and do in Turin, it is a 'green' city and its lack of crowds makes it easy to get around and a great place to experience the Italian culture.
